As an artist, I often visit galleries and exhibitions when I have time, but this art walk gave me a different experience. It was very well curated. The selection of galleries and the way the route connected them created a great mix. Our guide was knowledgeable and well prepared, and I didn’t notice how quickly the two hours of looking, discussing, and learning passed. I would definitely recommend it!

For years I’d walk past galleries and want to go in, but something always stopped me — that feeling that you need to know something or to buy something, or just that you’ll be exposed as not belonging. So I just didn’t. And here going in as a small group took the pressure off completely, and Maira had a way of making it feel like galleries are simply open doors, not exclusive clubs. Honestly a little life-changing — I’ve been into three galleries on my own since, something I’d never have done a month ago. If you’ve ever hovered outside and talked yourself out of going in, this is for you.

Our guide did a great job, he was very well prepared, the mixture of galleries was perfect, he gave good recommendation how to access the art, thank you for great two hours!

We booked this for our anniversary and it was a lovely way to spend early afternoon together. Wandering through the Jordaan, ducking into little galleries, learning things neither of us knew — it felt very intimate.  A really nice shared memory. Highly recommend for couples who’d rather do something new together.
