We’ve been friends for years — both from Belarus, both building international careers far from home. Neither of us grew up surrounded by art or galleries. But at some point, each of us had a moment where contemporary art stopped being something “other people” understand — and became something deeply personal.
For Lana, it was a period of reinvention — when art became the unexpected bridge between her corporate past and start-up incubator. For Yuliya, it was acquiring her first artwork.
Those moments changed how we think, how we see, how we navigate uncertainty. And we kept thinking: why isn’t this more accessible? Why do so many people walk past galleries feeling like it’s not for them? We both love museums, we travel a lot and along the way we discovered that galleries offer more powerful experience.
That’s why we created ART.UNLOCKED — curated gallery walks that open the door to contemporary art.
